How to Fix the USB Port (if it is not
working)
- Right click on My Computer
- Scroll down to Manage
- From the window on the left side of the screen, open the System
Tools folder (if not open) and select Device Manager
- Scroll down to last item on the screen (Universal Serial Bus
controllers
- Click on the + sign to open the folder.
- If the first choice has a yellow exclamation mark to the left
of it, click on the line to highlight it.
- Go to the second button from the right on the button bar
(Uninstall) and click on the button to uninstall the driver. You will
get a Warning message. Click OK.
- Windows XP might automatically reinstall the driver. If not,
unplug the USB device and plug it back in.
- If it still does not reinstall, restart Windows.
