Because digital video is extremely large (1 min = 200 mb), before you
begin, it is helpful to prepare your hard drive for the import: defrag
the hard drive. If you have never done that before, go to

format for import: WMV (Windows playback only except when used in
eZedia, re-encoded), DV-AVI (uncompressed and more universal), and
choices for other playback devices.
