Playing QuickTime Movies in PowerPoint

Working with Video Studio-8 Still to Video Panorama with Cool 360 Panorama: VRToolworx PowerPoint eZedia
Home

Microsoft Office XP will not Insert or play QuickTime movies from within PowerPoint. The two options are
  1. Link to the QuickTime movie and the movie will open in a separate window.
  2. Save (export) the QuickTime file as an AVI file. This compression does not produce as pristene a file and it is very large. If the file was created in another program (such as Studio 8), bring the file into QuickTime Pro and export it as an AVI movie. The movie will then be compressed and the file size will be smaller.

Linking the QuickTime Movie in PowerPoint

  1. On the slide where the link is to be, create a text box which says “Click here to view panorama.”
    1. Click on the text box frame border to change the diagonal lines to dots. With dots in the frame around the text (not diagonal lines), go to the Insert menu and select Hyperlink.
      1.  Click on File to browse for your panorama.
      2. Click on the Files of Type and select All Files
      3. Select the panorama file and click OK.
    1. The file will open on top of the slide, not within it. (PowerPoint XP no longer recognizes .mov files.)
