Evaluating
Evaluation consists of pre-formative,
formative,
and summative. Rubrics should be developed
with
the learner prior to beginning the task.
Below are samples of
different rubrics:
Pre-formative refers to determining if the ideas are feasible,
practical,
and worthwhile. Can the project be done is the alloted time frame? Will
the
resources for the project be available (skills, equipment, etc.)?
Formative refers to evaluating the resources
(web
information, digital pictures, etc.) to determine if they are accurate,
valid,
appropriate. Is the project on schedule? Is there learning taking place?
Summative includes reflections, peer review, final editing and
determining
if the project accomplished the objectives and task.
