Why?
Why use multimedia in your classroom?
  •  Determine who the students are today.
  •  How can multimedia make students?
    • Visit places virtually to hear and learn history created by students and teachers.
    • Virtual field trips to the zoo (created as a virtual panorama)
    • Reinforce curriculum
  • Multimedia enables students to internalize and visualize that which they are studying.
So, why are we using multimedia? View the Howard Gardner's interview from the GLEF website.

Getting Started
  • Brainstorm ideas for instructional multimedia project.
    • Determine group and decide strategy
    • Prewrite storyboard
  • Pre field trip tasks
    • Charge the camera batteries
    • If you are taking video and you have a new film cartridge, it is wise to run the entire tape through the camera with the lens cap on the camera and the camera plugged in. This puts a time code on the film making it easier to capture.
    • Defrag the computer hard drive.
  • Investigate tutorials for Windows multimedia
