A Rainy Day In Fontana
I hung out with David Reutimann's team for the NASCAR race in Fontana on a wet February day.

My garage area and pit pass for the event.
Jimmie Johnson's car awaiting pre-race inspection in the rain.
Ditto.
My camera lens started to fog over thanks to the weather.
A few of the haulers in the garage area.
What pit row looks like when it rains. lol.
Some of the fans were allowed to attend a ZZ Top show...
...that was held next to pit row a few hours before the race.
They weren't allowed on our side of the wall, though.
Those girls were part of the rain entertainment.
Our pit stall just as the sun started to come out.
Back-up hauler driver Rick cooked our delicious lunch!
My buddy Gary, the hauler driver for David Reutimann.
Some of the spare body panels before the race.
Ditto.
The lounge inside the hauler has a monitor to watch the race...
...and one that shows a live weather satellite feed.
We're in the center of the bulls eye, the storm moving to the right.
From the lounge, you can see the work area below...
...and the back-up car above.
One of the empty garages during the race.
There's a big screen TV showing the race...
...on the tower in the center of the picture.
The three haulers on the right are all Michael Waltrip Racing.
The stands and a few hauler cabs during the race.
The side panel from Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s car that I got to keep.
Bill Elliott autographed this newspaper for me.
