Hi! Welcome to my little web site. My name is Chris, and I live in Ventura, Calif. I own and operate an ASE Certified Mobile Auto Repair business, called Peckerwoods Pit Stop. I also work as part of the pit crew for Jim Porter and his VRA #88 Sprint Car. There are several pictures and stories here about Jim, and you are more than welcome to check it all out. All the pictures here are thumbnails, which means if you single click on one, it will open a new window with a larger picture. Enjoy!!!

Some Of My Fun Rides |
| The top picture is of my current '95 F-150. It's the one I do everything in, from grocery getting to hauling engines. With tools, it weighs over 6000Lbs. The next picture is of my first "Muscle Car"; a 1969 Chevelle Super Sport. She came with a 325hp 396, and was as strong as any vehicle I've ever driven. It was also the only car I've ever owned that could break the 12's in the 1/4 mile. I really wish I still had her!!! |
The bottom two pictures are of my $15 1972 Pinto. I bought it for $15, put another $200 in cash and a bunch of parts lying around my garage in it, and had what was probably the fastest 4 cylinder Pinto in Ventura. Among other things, the 2000cc engine had a 2V Holley, a header, cam & some head work, and an MSD ignition. Best of all, it still got better than 20 mpg!! Not too bad, even if it was a Pinto! |

| It's Not Dad's Buick |
My all time favorite car I owned would have to be my 1977 Buick LeSabre. I bought it with a bone stock 403, and planned to keep it that way. Problem was, every time my girlfriend and I would fight, I would go work on it. Well, we fought alot for two years, and the result was a 12 second sled that dynoed at 521hp. The best part was how stock it looked from outside!!! Perfect sleeper!! I use to eat kids in their 5.0's & Z28's for lunch. That was a fun car. I may have to do that one again!
