Picture of me.

The Isban Sector is a group of planets from a Star Wars campaign I did the groundwork for, and hope to run sometime here in the future. All the news coming out about Episode II has me excited again. Finally, we get to see Jedi at war! Whoo-hoo! Vrshhhhht! Vroom-vroom! Arrrgh! Heh. Come on, you got to make sound effects. Heck, even Ewan McGregor admits to having to be told not to do it when the camera was running.

Anyway, the worlds described here are set a little before The Phantom Menace, but they should need only minor adjustments to fit in other periods. MaKath and the planets now called Levsdan (home of the yellow skinned warrior women, and one green one named Leek) and Cthon (sampled and reworked from the old Planet of the Mists adventure) were actually introduced back in my Rebellion Era and New Republic Era campaigns. Nusumi Ulcomb and Xanowa were from an aborted Jedi Purge Era campaign (the time between the Rise of the Empire and the Rebellion Era, probably between Episodes III and IV), though Nusumi Ulcomb has its roots in the stories I came up with playing with the action figures as a kid.

And, of course, we have the whole Isban thing, which layed the basis for most of my Star Wars campaigns since 1994, that was born out of Dave Ross saying he wanted to play a mint-blue Vulcan Jedi named Eru. Then there is the Titanium Talon, the brain child of James Williams, which I think has made an appearance in every campaign I've planned. Sorry, getting carried away by memories.

While these worlds fit into a Star Wars universe, there is nothing really necessarily Star Wars about them. They should fit fine into any space opera setting, as long as you aren't too concerned about actual planetary geology and such. In fact, I've actually got a fantasy world where they all are actually just cities in the back of my mind. After all, why go through the work of having new ideas when you can just repurpose old ones?
