Description
Converter has a list of great features:

  • Unit conversion
    Converter converts between eighteen different unit categories: Acceleration, Angle, Area, Current, Energy, Illumination, Inductance, Force, Length, Mass, Power, Pressure, Radiation, Temperature, Time, Torque, Velocity, Volume.
  • Color conversion
    There is a separate color conversion utility to convert between RGB and hex values. Nice to have when working with web colors.
  • Calculator
    A basic calculator is included for further calculations.
  • Conversion Table
    Included is also a conversion table which list the conversion formulas used when converting between different units.
  • Services
    An extra bonus is that you can reach the conversion utilities from the Services menu. This way you can convert any expression or color from any application that supports Services.

  • Added six more unit categories. Acceleration, Angle, Current, Illumination, Inductance and Torque.
  • You can now enter an expression in the initial value field instead of just a number.
  • Fixed a couple of bugs, especially one where under certain circumstances people couldn't launch the application under 10.1.

  • Enabled all conversion tools a Services. You need to logout after you installed the application before it shows up in the Services menu.
  • Redesigned the Unit Converter UI. Window is now resizable in width for those long unit names.
  • Added a Tools menu to access the three different utilities, Unit Converter, Color Converter and Calculator.

  • Completely rewritten in Objective-C.
  • Added preferences for default units and number precision.
  • Changed alert dialogs to sheets.
  • Now storing the conversion algorithms in a plist file.
  • Added two new categories: Time and velocity. And added more units.

Requirements
You need MacOS X 10.0 or above to run Converter.


Shareware
Converter is shareware. This means if you like the product and you continue using it we would like to collect a minimal payment of US$9. We don't have a trial period of 30 days and we don't show any annoying messages to get you to pay the shareware fee as others do. We believe that if you like the application you will support us and the shareware community. With your help we can continue to develop useful applications for MacOS X.
