Quarter
pound burgers
6
ounces hamburger, or
6
ounces lean ground beef, or
6
ounces extra-lean ground beef, or
6
ounces ground turkey (regular), or
6
ounces ground turkey breast
Broil
or grill a 6-ounce (raw) portion about 4 inches from heat source. Baste
frequently with water to keep moist (a spray bottle works terrific!).
The
following ingredients do not change the nutrient values but add taste. To each
6 ounces of raw ground beef or turkey add:
1/4
cup finely diced onion, or
1
tablespoon chopped garlic, or
1/2
teaspoon lemon pepper, or
2
tablespoons red wine, or
1/4
teaspoon chili powder, or
1
tablespoon fresh chopped basil
Note:
6 ounces raw weight yields 4 ounces ready to eat.
