| | The BEFW11S4 is a 4 port ethernet and 802.11b WiFi router |
| | | It turned out the unit used a PCMCIA card for its WiFi
| | | The unit has no antenna, but just jacks for the external whips
| | I thought the card might not be standard PCMCIA so I tried it in my ol 486 lappy |
| | | lo and behold windows came up with the name
| | | and its a standard model!!! |
| | And the antenna harness has beautiful pigtails and whip antennas |
| | | On the card end there is are MCX connectors |
| | | On the antenna end is RP-TNC style connectors |
| | I tossed the main board, but apparently its hackable (Samsung 4510 based) |
| | | The moral of the story is - tear up your old router before tossing it. |
