The new CD is here!Yes, the latest offering from Pig's Ear is here. We'll be officially launching our new CD Pig's Year at the Kentish Horse, Cow Lane, Markbeech on Saturday 27th October. Thanks to Gina and Jeremy for hosting the evening, and we hope you will all come along in your droves, drink their beer, buy CDs and generally get in training for next year's Pig's Ear Kentish Horse Folk Ale! A busy Pig's YearOur twentieth anniversary year has been a busy one. We've played a number of new venues this year and some old friends and favourites. We very much enjoyed hosting the City Wall Wine Bar stage at Rochester Sweeps - an excellent mix of guests included La Zag, Zoox, and our friends No Worries and Ty and Ayesha Watling. We also had a busy but enjoyable couple of days at Broadstair s Folk Week - thanks to all who dropped in on our performances. The Pig's Ear Kentish Horse Folk AleThe 2007 Folk Ale was a brilliant weekend - with a rare glimpse of the summer sun to provide the icing on the cake. Great to see so many there, and so many arriving during Friday to enjoy the whole weekend's offering. Gina and Jeremy had not long got their feet under the table of the Kentish Horse following Dave the pub's departure to pastures new, but they and their stalwart bar staff did us proud.A new and successful venture for 2007 were the Pigs Ear Folk Ale T shirts, courtesy of Helen Rule, Ben Scruton and Jessica Blackwell. A challenge to Ben to come up with an even better design next year! And talking of next year....The 2008 Folk Ale will take place over the weekend of 30th/31st May, 1st June. We trust we will see friends and supporters such as Wasps in the Woodshed; No Worries; Capella; John Barden; Ty & Ayesha; The Wilderness Family; A Band Called Dave; Les Elvin once again. The Singing Loins will be heading the line-up on Friday night, and on Saturday we are absolutely delighted to announce that our invited guests include the current generation of the voice of Sussex traditional song, the Copper Family:The Young CoppersNeed I say, put this in your diary now! Get one specially!Where to see...
