USATT Ratings
What Are USATT Ratings?
USATT ratings are a way of showing a player’s level in a numerical form. But such ratings are often misleading.
They result from how frequent they play, style of play, and a players first tournament rating versus a players tenth
tournament rating.
How Are They Used?
USATT ratings are used in every USATT sanctioned tournament. Whether you win a match or lose it, your
rating is recalculated by the rating process. Also, ratings are used to place players at the proper skill levels when
they enter a tournament. So in a way, the ratings system creates a simple infrastructure that keeps tournaments
organized.
