| about the photographer Peter Howson has been a commercial photographer since 1989. Born in New Jersey, but raised in Belgium, Peter moved to Washington, DC in 1986 where he studied photography at The American University. Working in both traditional film (ranging from 35mm up to 4x5) and digital photography, Peter can turn virtually any space into a photo studio. He is versatile, having shot objects as large as a Boeing 757 and as small (and deadly) as a blue arrow frog. He’s photographed directors of Fortune 100 corporations, the guys who drive trucks in limestone quarries, private art collections, products, and people going about the business of doing business. Peter owns the equipment needed for most assignments and, bucking a growing trend, does not charge clients for the rental of basic photographic equipment like cameras and normal lenses. about the site NOTE: The portfolio presentation includes some music.
