Istvan Horkay

Horkay's recollection of a place within a central vision of the whole of things, details out of the past move towards a more magical space where the major dream of reality becomes more fluid, more malleable... becomes more believable as one attempts to see through it, as one seeks to penetrate to the very gist of it all. Indeed, as if one searches an Xray for the condition that will invariably inspire a solution.

Perhaps a different sphere of understanding, very different from the centuries old "aesthetic" view, but situated within the real multi-dimensional reality... An alchemy of perception based on the phenomena of actual reality, as it unfolds within consciousness, not on closed theories of philosophy, but a gesticulation within a vantage point that, rather than emulate, seeks to unearth from within, to make visible and quite real.

At the forefront of a digital exploration, which I believe emanates out of a technological viewpoint, a scientific one that is at once incredibly human, yet invading the domain of the unknown and mysterious, found when one catches a glimpse of the universe in the depths of a great tragedy, Horkey attempts to see what has never been seen before.  Stars are glimpsed in the wet fur of a dying animal.  In the ashes of the dead one can see the ecstasy of endless nights of passion..,

The explorer becomes a magician, a conjurer... The history of the world beomes the raw matter, and it is the voluminous light of the morning of the psyhe that renders that "history" as transparent as air, in the fire of that morning light that cleanses the darkness out of which it came.
