Sun - July 20, 2003Discussion Board feedback soughtWe're tyring to learn more about what works and what
doesn't on our discussion forum.
During the past few weeks, participation has tapered off dramatically. There are over 300 registered members, yet very few have been posting lately. We believe we offer a good assortment of forums and lots of interesting threads, so it's baffling to have so little activity. I had heard in the past that some were put off by the discussions on religion and politics, so we separated the threads out and moved them all to a forum of their own, where those who don't like to read or discuss these topics can easily avoid them. I know, too, that others object to the presence of the forum on kundalini and spiritual emergencies, thinking we're promoting some New Agey kind of spirituality. A brief reading of the posts will demonstrate that this is not the case at all. Providing this forum is one of the unique ministries of Shalom Place as there just aren't many places where these topics can be discussed in a Christian context. So what's going on? Please help me to understand so I can better serve those who visit the web site. Click here to access the survey; it only takes a couple of minutes to fill out. Thanks!
