Shalom Place E-bookStore up and running

Because we know everyone really wants to do things legally and morally . . .

Elsewhere, I have written about how many downloads of resources people made in a month at Shalom Place without paying or donating for these services, as they agreed to do before clicking the link. Well, I've finally remedied that by setting up an E-bookStore. For only $9.00 (price subject to change), anyone who wants any of the E-books at Shalom Place can now have them all for this nominal fee. Yes, that's right: ALL of them! FOREVER! But only one copy per subscriber, of course.

What I did was place these works in a password-protected folder (.htaccess protocol). You can't get to the index page with the links to the downloads without paying first, and that's the way it should be, I guess.

I'll see how this works out. In truth, if it comes down to a choice between not getting much money either way, I'd much prefer people have the resources. But we do need to generate some income from this web site and we're way behind budget this year. It seems to me that most people who really want these works--who have a computer, ISP, printer, etc.--can afford $9.00 for them--over $60.00 worth of resources at this time, and more to come. Those who don't need only contact me and we'll work something out. We are in business to serve . . . and to survive! :D

P.S. While I was smitten with generosity, I dropped the price of the CD from $45.00 to $25.00. Cheaper, faster burners and cheaper disks contributed to this decision, along with the fact that I'm just a nice guy.
