Philip J. McInnis, B.S., M.S., Ed.D.
1927-2002
Dr. McInnis died in March of 2002, after a prolonged
struggle with pneumonia. A summary of his many professional
accomplishments follows. His work is carried on by family,
and the teachers and consultants who worked alongside him
for many years prior to his passing.
Developer and Author of the Assured Readiness for Learning
(ARL) Program.
Eight and one-half years of High School teaching,
twenty-three years as a School Psychologist, twenty-one
years adjunct professor of college classes. In recent
years, he has been a full time consultant.
Director of Clinical Practicum in Learning Disabilities,
Nazareth College of Rochester, NY, eleven years.
Director of Reading Strand, the 29th, 30th, 31st, 32nd and
33rd Annual National Leadership Workshop, SUNY Plattsburg,
NY. Summers of 1985 - 1989.
Recipient of First Annual Award for Excellence in the
Practice of School Psychology, Outstanding School
Psychologist in New York State. Presented October 14, 1976
at the School Psychologist of Upstate New York Annual
Conference, Syracuse.

Pennsylvania, Virginia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Arizona,
California, Washington, Louisiana and Alberta, Canada, have
been in attendance over the years.
