Gebhard Steuer founded his company after World War II in Lindau Germany after purchasing the machines from the widow of man named Esser in Munich, Germany. Esser was quite a well know reed maker in the early 1900's. Philip Muncy President of MW Enterprises, Inc and founder of Muncy Winds Music Company worked with Mr. Steuer very closely for many years before Steuer's death in 1997.
