Castell Dinas

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Bwlch y Ddinas; Castell Ddinas; Bwlch y Dinas; Bulkdinas; Waynards Castle

In the community of Talgarth. In the historic county of Brecknockshire (Modern authority of Powys, preserved county of Powys).

A complex of defensive earthworks covering an area, c.363m by 280m, represents the remains of a masonry castle in Iron Age hill fort. Some of the masonry remains may date back to before 1093 although the scant standing remains are probably C13. Probably destroyed in rebellion of Owain Glyndwr.

This site is a scheduled monument protected by law.
