Dudston Castle Mound

In the civil parish of Chirbury With Brompton. In the historic county of Shropshire (Modern Authority of Shropshire, 1974 county of Shropshire).

Motte surviving as an earthwork at Dudston. A mutilated mound in a low situation, about 9ft in height on the north side, formerly surrounded by a ditch 3ft deep, the longest measurement of its top is 42ft, but its true diameter cannot now be determined. Much damaged and farm building presumably occupy site of bailey.

This site is a scheduled monument protected by law.
