Wellow Village Defences

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Gorge Dyke

In the civil parish of Wellow. In the historic county of Nottinghamshire (Modern Authority of Nottinghamshire, 1974 county of Nottinghamshire).

Short sections remain of earthern ramparts. Reported in PastScape as 'Earthwork remains of medieval village of Wellow' but appear on map to be an embankment around the village labelled Gorge Dyke.
This site has been described as a;
