Cregou

In the civil parish of St Clement. In the historic county of Cornwall (Modern Authority of Cornwall, 1974 county of Cornwall).

Bronze Age bowl barrow measuring 22 by 37m across and 1.5m high. On the north east side is a small enclosure 16m across. This is thought to be Medieval and is possibly the result of the use of the barrow as a lookout for the Malpas ferry. (PastScape)
Despite a description vaguely suggestive of a motte and bailey clearly no such thing. I'm not entirely clear what is meant by 'lookout for the Malpas ferry' but it should be noted there is no path to the site, which is isolated from settlement.

This site is a scheduled monument protected by law.
