Bo Phut

Welcome to the most recent edition of our online album. These photos were taken on Thursday, April 5th in Bo Phut, a.k.a The Fisherman's Village. It's a quaint little town with a very hippie vibe, where many expats have settled and started cafes and other cool businesses. And, of course, there is a beach. Here, Em snapped me swimming. The frown is not due to unhappiness, just a rather salty taste to the water:

We then had drink at a yoga studio/cafe called Absolute Yoga/The Love Kitchen. Here, we were able to feed our coconut addictions. These beauties were only 30 baht each served chilled. Back in Japan, these things would actually cost about 250 baht, so we indulged while we had the chance. And here are the photos to prove it:

On our way back to the yoga centre, we walked up to the main road to catch a bus. And there in the intersection was one of the most interesting inventions I've seen in a while.

Then, in the evening, we retired to our centre for a relaxing evening. Em had fun playing with Shadow, the adopted dog of the retreat centre. Then, we had massages. I managed to get a couple of photos of Em having (and enjoying!) an oil massage.
