ABOUT THE ARTIST

ROBERT T. SMALLS

Robert I. Smalls is a Philadelphia native who has painted for as long as he can remember. He grew up in the City's Queen Village neighborhood After attending Fleishers Art Memorial and graduating from the Parkway High School Prograrn he attended the Philadelphia College of Art On a scholarship. Robert has marched to the beat of his own drum since then, developing a style that is uniquely his own.

The artist is an idealist who views art as a natural form of communicating and documenting his environment. Mr. Smalls can use most anything from oils to acrylics and metal and wood to fabrics to create figurative paintings and landscapes that are rich in color and touch a deep and serene core. His new works represent an exciting evolution in style and content. Whatever his subject, Robert's works move people emotionally and inspires them to see the beauty and meaning in every form of Life that he portrays.

His works have been exhibited at Nexus, High Wire, The Painted Bride and in galleries at both University of Pennsylvania and Temple University among other places. Mr. Robert T Smalls has had many successful one-man shows, and has participated in several group shows,

Robert's greatest desire now, is to be able gain exposure in the and recognition in his genre and share his works with others.
