LAWAI BEACH LANAI

This was our second time to stay at Lawaii Beach Resort,

room 1206. Here I am sitting on the lanai, ready to

go out to dinner.

To our right is one of the three pools and hot tubs.

To our left we can see the Beach House Restaurant.

There is a small beach near the restaurant.

Here is a closer view of some visitors to that beach.

That chubby one is a monk seal, an endangered

and very protected animal. He has some kind of radio

attached to his back. It is illegal to get any closer to him,

and this one took up the best part of the beach for the whole day.

Farther out are the surfers. We can watch them with

binoculars or look toward the horizon for humpback whales.
