Concealed
Carry Referendum
I support changing state law to allow concealed carry of
legal handguns. I ask that you vote "Yes" for this
referendum.
Voting "Yes" doesn't mean concealed carry will become law
immediately, as with the Forest Preserve District
referendum, state law will need to be changed to allow
concealed carry.
As I write this article, some county board members are
writing a separate county-only concealed carry ordinance,
but I have not seen the final wording of that resolution. I
will not comment on an ordinance that I haven't seen,
suffice to say I hope concealed carry becomes law state
wide.
