  | Instructor Comments: ExamView (www.fscreations.com) is online test creation/test taking software that is used to generate and manage exams. The students take all tests online and are given immediate feedback about their performance when they finish the test. The instructor can perform immediate item analysis and re-teach concepts as soon as the test is over.
Question banks are managed on each topic. Unique tests can be generated each year.
Several examples are provided here. All assessments are located and identified in the curriculum.

  | Instructor Comments: Performance checklists are used where appropriate to assess hands-on skills. Performance tests are administered to the student by the instructor. Checklists are given to the student prior to the test to facilitate practice. Students must complete all of the steps in order to pass the test. If a student does not complete all of the steps, they must re-take the test until they do and their score is reduced by one letter grade for each re-take. If there is a safety violation during the test, the test is terminated immediately, feedback is given to the student and the test is re-administered the next day.

  | Instructor Comments: Rating scales are used where appropriate to assess the quality of a product. Rating scales are applied to student work by the instructor. The student can use the rating scales to complete their work. Students work is evaluated according to the criteria on the rating scale and a grade is assigned according to the quality of the product.
