Currently the core SEAIF Team consists of two individuals, Peter Whittlesey and Dr. Eric Crystal. Peter and Dr. Crystal first worked together in the summer of 2001 when Peter was a K-12 Visiting Scholar at the Center of Southeast Asia Studies at UC Berkeley. Since then they have collaborated on various projects and in February 2005 coauthored an article “The Role of Rice in Southeast Asia” which was published in the academic journal Education About Asia, Winter 2004 issue, a publication of The Association for Asian Studies.
It is our hope with the creation of the SEAIF website and the introduction of our first major Seminar Series and Study Tour, “The Role of Southeast Asians in the Secret War in Laos,” that SEAIF team will gradually expand to include other team members.
