Please take time to view our collection of short video clips of the boats in action.

Most are approximately one minute in duration. You may also care to visit our YouTube Channel:

SAILING THE PDRACER

A short clip demonstrating the nimble nature of the PDRacer.

It's a very stable trainer, but also very responsive to helm and sail trim. Watch as Michael Storer at the helm, gybes while standing as if to confirm the stability, and completes several circles and figures of eight in almost the boats length.

CAPSIZE DRILL

Practising the capsize and recover is one of the most important exercises for small boat sailors. Here the designer of the Oz PDRacer demonstrates the recovery procedure.

On completion of the exercise, he sails away without even having to bail out!

CRUISING SUNSET

The PDRacer is the world's cheapest cruising boat, ideal for a twilight meander down a river somewhere.

If you've ever fancied being the skipper of your own yacht but didn't think you could afford it, now you have your chance!

LEARNING TO SAIL

Here, two young men who have never sailed before take Steve's "Orange Appeal" out for a spin.

The PDRacer is the ideal learning platform, very stable and a great load carrier, yet is able to provide spirited performance and technically challenging racing for experienced sailors.

Unlike all other training/racing classes, the PDRacer is the cheapest sailing boat in the world and can be built for less than the cost of a big night out.

CRASH AND BURN

When we first launched our boats, no one thought we could get them to plane. We did.

They all thought we'd break something trying. We did that too.

Our first masts were highly experimental, built of very poor quality pine with large knots. This was to be our undoing!

Our new masts are built to a slightly different design, of better quality timber, and have taken one of our boats to a world speed record for the PDRacer class.

We have since sailed in winds gusting to 30 knots, and have not suffered any further damage. (Except psychological!)

OUR FIRST PDRacers

There's no point launching a boat or two if you can' t have a party!

Here the first PDRacers ever to sail in the Southern Hemisphere are launched with all the ceremony that befits this remarkable class of boat.

Introducing: "Walks like a duck" and its sibling, "Talks like a duck".

SAILING IMPRESSIONS

In the minutes after launching our boats for the first time, it was clear we had something that worked well.

They are a joy to potter round in, responsive to helm and breeze, yet very stable.
