Bigger Sails

As far as sails go ... some of our local types carry two or three times the sail area of similar overseas boats, yet are not much harder to sail.

We were planning to have around 86 sq ft of sail rather than the average of 60 on existing boats (a 30% increase).

This is Puddleduck has the original Phil Bolger Brick rig with 59 sq ft.

Our 86 is inset for comparison, note that it doesn't stand out as being a wildly radical solution (it isn't!).
