1.Get your tools and materials ready, if you are going to precoat your plywood, now would be a good time.

We strongly suggest that if you do, you don't walk on it unless the epoxy is dry.

2.Mark out and cut your plywood.

3.Fit and glue the framing timbers to the ply panels.

Fit pink earmuffs if your workmate won't shut up. (Hand planes are rarely detructive to your hearing)

4.Tarah! Pretty much all you need for a boat, and you got here in about five seconds!

9.Just lay the foredeck in place so you can see what it's going to look like finished!

Wow! It looks like a boat!

10.This is too exciting, let's take it outside and see how everything fits!

Click on the blue box above to learn more!

11.Yep! Oh wow!

IT'S GOING TO BE FANTASTIC!

12.You are now so excited, that you spend the evening varnishing inside the hull.

This does not make you popular when you are so tired, you go to bed smelling of wet varnish.

Click on the blue box above to learn more!

13.Despite your newfound unpopularity you risk a certain amount of more marital disharmony, by sneaking back into the shed later just to make sure your baby's OK.

It may pay to do the dishes before coming out to play tomorrow.

14.Sand, fill, sand and before you know it she's ready for the final coat

Click on the blue box above to learn more!

15.Spray? Maybe not, but since I don't have a picture of us brushing, and I DO have a neighbour with a spray gun......

By now it doesn't matter, get it painted any way you can so you can get out there!

Click on the blue box above to learn more!

16.Time to start rigging the wee beastie, not much to do, which is good because all you want to do is get out there!

Click on the blue box above to learn more!

17.It's much less embarassing to find something doesn't fit at home.... before you discover it in front of all your friends at the launch party!

Click on the blue box above to learn more!

18.If the Queen of England, or one of Charlies' Angels isn't available, ask your own first lady (or man) to do the honours.

A little bubbly on the bow is the least you can do!

Click on the blue box above to learn more!

19.Now you can sail away to far distant shores.

How good is that?

Tired maybe, but very definitely happy!!
