All right, this requires a bit of explanation: After too long a hiatus, I've been moving to get back into writing. I've recently completetd a fantasy novel, and am hard into the sequel. Since my literary agent had the bad taste to die, I'm seeking representation for it/them.

In the mean time, I've written a short story set in the world of these novels, and decided in the interest of shameless self-promotion, to put the story up here for free download.

It's in .pdf form and features my own eccentric choices in typography and a super-wonderful bookplate title page done by guess who.

The prospect of online e-commerce never far from my mind, I am thinking about doing more of this, only for money.

I know. Shameful. Free stuff is so much more noble and infinitely cooler.
