| The big event at Saint Chad’s this month will be the visit to us by the Bishop of Grimsby to preach at the Harvest Evensong at 6.30 pm on Sunday 8th October. We hope that there will be a magnificent attendance. |
| The same day there is to be the Sunday School Festival and Prizegiving for the whole Parish at St. Chad’s - as last year. We hope that it will be the same success as before. |
| We are very sorry to hear that Mr. Paul Varah and his family will be leaving us in the first week of October when the family moves to Scarborough in connection with Mr. Varah’s new work in that town. Of course Paul knows Scarborough well having spent his schooldays there. We shall miss him very much indeed at Saint Chad’s and wish him and the family every good wish in their new home. |
| As there are five Sundays in October there will be an 11 am celebration of Holy Communion with hymns on October 29th. |
