| This month sees the ordination and arrival in Barton of our new assistant curate - the Reverend Dick Emerson. He is being |
| made deacon by the Bishop of Lincoln in the Cathedral on Sunday, 2nd July. He will make his first appearance at Evensong at St. Mary’s that night, when he will be 'reading himself in'. |
| I am very much looking forward to having Mr. Emerson with us as a colleague here. I know that he and his wife and son will have a redecoration of the curate’s house should be complete in time for his arrival. |
| Many of you will be going on holiday before the next edition of the magazine is published. I wish you a very enjoyable time, hoping that the weather will improve. |
