At the Parish Communion on Sunday, July 11th, the young people who are beginning their course of preparation for Confirmation will officially be commissioned in their preparation. This may seem an odd thing to do, but it is very important that they should know that the whole Church is thoroughly behind them in their venture. It is not a simple or easy thing for them to take on in these days and they need all our support. I hope there will be many of us there to welcome them and to pray pray for them.
