The winner of the Marlborough heat of the Wiltshire New Business of the Year competition will be named at a ceremony in Devizes on Thursday (November 5). Ducklings Toy Shop, Kennet Computer Solutions, Sospira and Summerdale Designs all took part in a Dragon's Den-style competition in October. The winner will go forward to the county finals on Thursday, November 12 and the overall winner will be crowned at a glitzy ceremony at Bowood House on Thursday, November 20.
The Chamber's very popular business breakfast, in association with Withy King, celebrates its second anniversary on Wednesday, November 18. The strategy outlining where homes and jobs are needed most until 2026 is being formulated by Wiltshire Council. There will be an exhibition, and the chance to comment on proposals, at the Bouverie Hall, Pewsey on Monday, November 23 and the Town Hall, Marlborough on Tuesday, November 24 from 1pm to 7pm. Part of the Wiltshire 2026 strategy is the Workspace and Employment Land Strategy. The strategy assesses the employment land requirements in Wiltshire until 2026.
