New Scientist 2009 Calendar

I'm very pleased to say that my image 'Density Wave' will be included in the New Scientist 2009 calendar, due out in the next few weeks. Many thanks to everyone who voted for it ! If you would like to buy an A3 print of this image, please contact me and I can arrange one.

'New Scientist' Calendar competition

'New Scientist' are running a competition for pictures to be included in their 2009 calendar. The entries, including my radial spread image shown below, can be seen at their site here where voting will be taking place over the coming weeks.

I am very happy to say I received 2nd prize in a competition held at the Flow Visualization conference earlier this month at Nice. I submitted a photo sequence of radial spreads. The three winning entries of the competition can be seen here.

International Symposium on Flow Visualization: Nice, France

The 13th International Symposium on Flow Visualization is being held at Nice next month on July 1st - 4th. All aspects of flow visualization will be covered; details of tehnical presentations, lectures and other events here. I shall be taking my work along, and hope that chatting to the scientists will help answer some of the puzzles that have come up in my work.

National Society Open art exhibition, Jersey Galleries, Isleworth, Middlesex

The National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Printmakers will hold an exhibition next month, 9th-27th April, at the Jersey Galleries, Osterley Park and House, Jersey Road, Isleworth TW7 4RB. The Galleries are open Wednesdays to Sundays 1.00-4.30 pm. Admission is free, and refreshments are available at the Stables tea-room and garden.

This quarterly magazine, published by the Society of Dyers and Colourists, features news and articles about the Society, and about the international world of colour.
