One
year has passed!
Before we
even knew it already a whole year has gone. Again. For some of us this
year has meant yet another 12 months of waking up, making coffee, going
to work, coming home, sleeping and hopefully dreaming about something
interesting. For others the year has contained almost unbelievable adventures,
changes in the environment, meetings with new people, and eating lots
of fish.
Expedition Micronesia put its first material up online December 17 last year, a couple of clickable pictures from Paula's dissertation party. (She is now in San Francisco by the way so her year hasn't been that usual either.) A few days later the second page came up which showed the last picture taken of her in Sweden before she set out south to Porto, Portugal for Christmas celebrations. Little did we know that the site would grow to its present ~50 pages and over 700 files! We hereby announce the Best Day of Year One competition, see the rules in the right margin. The winner gets the honor of being mentioned here, just like Kalle who won the Tina-after-the-trip-drawing-contest.
From Porto comes also the most recent contribution to our site, showing Tina with her family, as seen below. Remember the site a few weeks ago titeled "Tina back in the civilization"? Well, this was not all true as you can see. If you think this is a somewhat abnormal family you should rest assure that this is not a typical picture of the lot. The Editor has met them all and can testify that Christer not always makes that funny face. Jonas also looked substantially younger and smaller. What gives away that this isindeed a somewhat posed picture, however, is the lack of numerous hyperactive dogs randomly cluttering the scene.
