| Ancient
fish traps. This is a river in Huahine where these stone traps are still
used for trapping fish with in and out going tides! They were built as great
cones leading the fish into labyrinths or trapping them in bowls. Impressive!

| The
biggest and most important marae ("religious and cultural place")
in Polynesia, Marae Taputapuatea. It is said to maintain its psychic powers.
We tested this by writing down all our bad habits and negative feelings
on a piece of paper which we burnt on the marae. You have to do it solo,
under a full moon, or during one of the 3 following nights... All accordingly,
this is the altar where I burnt the papers... As you see, the altar still
receives a lot of offerings, I just hope the spirits are not overworked!
