Q. How much will it cost to post my pieces?

That depends on where you live and what you have bought. As a rough guide posting 1 - 2 items to the UK will cost £4.99 (£6.99 worldwide), 3 - 4 items £5.99 (£9.99 worldwide). This may vary with unusually heavy or light items but probably not by much - I will let you know the exact cost with details of how to pay via email after I receive notification of pieces reserved. I do try to keep the cost of postage to a minimum and often subsidize the actual cost.

Q. Where can pieces be sent?

Worldwide! I am happy to give a quote for posting anywhere so please ask.

Q. How long does it take?

Whenever possible pieces are sent the day payment is received. Most pieces are sent Priority mail and take between 3 - 8 days to reach the UK.

Q. How can I pay?

I accept payment via cheque or UK bank transfer. If you would like to pay by credit/ debit card or by Paypal I am happy to send a Paypal money request. This can be paid using a credit card and you don't need to be registered to make the payment, although it is simpler if you are.

Q. How should I care for my pieces?

The best way to care for your carvings is to keep them away from moisture and sources of strong heat or light. Splashes of water will mark the wood, whilst extreme heat or changes in temperature may even cause a piece to crack. Direct sunlight will change the colour of most woods very quickly. If you would like to give them a nourishing coat of wax I recommend using either Lord Sheraton Natural Beeswax Balsam, or Liberon Black Bison neutral wax paste. These are both superb products which I have used and can highly recommend... I do not recommend using anything else!

Q. My cat has lost an ear, what can you do?

In most cases I can repair chipped or damaged pieces very successfully. I am happy to perform this service as part of my refurbishing service (see below).

Q. Can you refurbish my carving?

Yes! Simply send your piece to me for a total refurbish. I can repair any damage (within reason), re sand the top layer of wood and re polish your carving to the standard it was when it was first produced. The charge for this service is £5.99 plus postage, please email for details.
