3] - Competitions: Mac Users UK Photos & Santa Fe's Film Festival
........................

Apple products promote excellence in photography and movie making, so it
is easy to see why user groups are involved in these arts. The Mac Users
Group UK is currently judging the winners of their 2008/2009 photo
competition, while the Santa Fe Macintosh User Group has put out a call for
entries for their 3rd annual SFMUG Short Movie Festival, with a deadline
of July 1, 2009. Are your members planning a competition? Let us know.

5] - Kansas Fest: 20 Years of Apple and KFest Fun
......................

When attendees have license plates like APL 2GS you know they are
passionate about any and all Apple computers. Kansas Fest, the only
computer festival dedicated to the Apple II computer, will once again be
held at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, from July 21-26.
With the KFest Kookout, HackFest programming contest and more, this
event is known as Summer Camp for Geeks.
