What's a SIG?

It stands for "Special Interest Group."

Whenever a group of people in the club (currently around 200 members) decide they want to learn about a new program, they form a SIG group. Anyone can start one, any current member can go to any SIG or to all of the SIGs. Anyone with expertise can teach a SIG.

How much does it cost?
Once you pay your annual membership of $25.00 or $30.00 for a family membership-- you can go to any SIG.

Where are the SIGs?
SIGs usually happen at someone's house.

How many people usually come to a SIG?
Sometimes there's 4 and sometimes there's 18. It generally depends on schedules and computer needs of the members.

What do you do at SIG meeting?
Usually you listen to someone give you helpful hints about a program or procedure on the computer. Questions are asked and answered (we hope!), demonstrations go on in every SIG meeting, and in most Appleworks meetings, there is some hands on for everyone at the meeting.
