Pensacola may not be big enough to qualify for its own Apple Store but we have the next best solution. Jonathan Gustavson, a qualified Apple expert, works at Pensacola's Best Buy store.

Jonathan, accompanied by a Best Buy manager, spoke briefly on the store's objective to make it a qualified Apple outlet. Best Buy wants and is encouraging PMUG member's business and is willing to earn it with discounts and special offers. Best Buy also wants to include PMUG on its web site and will be an outlet for The Panhandler, PMUG's newsletter.
An Apple solution's consultant requires months of professional training and Best Buy's goal is to get more employees qualified and certified so as to be able to handle the rising Macintosh user base in the Pensacola area.

After Jonathan's Best Buy introductory he presented an interesting and informative demo on iPhoto and iMovie, programs available in iLife '09.' He added that iLife '09' is by far superior to iLife '08' and he pointed out some of the enhancements. A question and answer session followed and Jonathan promised to return for another session.
