Return From Vacation

For once, I went on vacation without taking a laptop with me. I was reluctant to approach the computer on my return; it felt like merging back into the fast lane.

Sure, I could use other people's computers to check my e-mail. Generally, I would get 50 to 100 e-mails a day, and all but 2 or 3 would be spam. It is kind of nice to be back at home, protected by my spam filters.

After driving the rental car back to Logan in the Boston AM rush hour, it was weird driving around Portland last night. My driving was way too aggressive for Portland standards.

Now to see what shape world politics has devolved into, without me harping at them to stay in line.
