Suspenders

Today is the second day in a row that I have worn suspenders. Ruth is alarmed.

Yesterday, it was to test out my hunting clothes. Clothes that you wear once every hunting season can be treacherous.

It is not fun to wake at o-dark-hundred and start to dress, only to find that the clothes do not function properly. Or are somehow a size smaller.

Today, it is a Cowboy Action Shooting match. Suspenders are required to resist the forces applied by two belts, one holding two revolvers and ammunition, the other holding a whole box of shotgun shells.

I find them rather convenient, but Ruth is taking action to keep me from getting comfortable with the idea. She said, "You remind me of my Uncle Richard."

Not the look I'm hoping for.
