Let's Set The Way-back Machine

We were in an IEP meeting for our 4th grade son, who is autistic.

Multiple people remarked that they had observed a new behavior: whenever he encountered a clock which he could reset, he reset it for 3:15. They found this curious.

My wife and I knew the answer immediately. "Simple," we said. "That's what time he gets off the school-bus at the end of the day. That's when the ordeal is over."

How many of us have looked at the clock, fantasizing about the hands twirling ahead to quitting time? Dan just goes ahead and does it.
