George H.W. Bush tried to set the wheels in motion to replace Rumsfeld as Secretary of Defense. That is when his son so eloquently pronounced, "I'm the Decider." This speech was as much to Daddy as to anyone else.



Zarqawi is killed. Or, as the more militant islamic clerics might say, his wedding with virgins has begun. Republicans say Democrats are disappointed. Positive but not thrilling would be closer to the mark. However, on learning of this news, oil prices fell. Someone is planning on getting their hands on Iraq's oil, and think that doing so just got cheaper.

Specter is pissed. Cheney is unrepentant . Rumors rage about the site of Cheney's "Undisclosed Secure Location."

Seems like a good afternoon to watch "The Comancheros."
