Rigging Elections
I think Karl Rove can, and has, rigged
elections.
So why didn't he
rig the Congressional midterms, with subpoena power on the
line?
Too many moving parts.
Logistically, to steal a
presidential election, you have to steal a state or two. With friends in high
places, this can be done without having too many people in the know about the
felony in progress.
However,
to steal hundreds of elections, where the results are reported to localities
rather than states, would require an army of henchmen. Someone would squeal or
slip up. Add the $250,000 reward for information leading to a felony conviction
for vote-rigging, and secrecy becomes
impossible.
The midterm
results do not mean that fears of rigged voting machines are groundless. The
crooked machines have got to go.
