Itchin' For A Fight
A combative George Bush demanded in
his news conference today that Congress return from Easter break right now to
act on his supplemental appropriations request.
And this from the King of Vacations, who was belatedly coaxed out of Crawford when New Orleans was drowning.
He noted that it had been 57 days since he submitted the funding request.
Think Progress notes that in 2006, the Republican majority in Congress took 119 days to approve his supplemental funding request for the Iraq war, and that the President thought that was just fine.
